April 18 Lunch & Learn: Water IS Life.

This year the Black Appalachian Coalition and the Ohio River Valley Institute have been hosting a lunch & learn series on the impacts of petrochemical development on Black communities in Appalachia.   Session 1 gave an overview and presented the concept that Health is a Human Right. Session 2 in March addressed air pollution: health harms overview, lived experiences, and organizing to protect communities.

The third session of the 2024 Petrochemical Lunch & Learn series “Your Health and Your Environment”  will be about “Water IS Life” – water contamination from “Forever Chemicals” especially those in fracking operations, lead from water supply pipes, and what people can do to mitigate the harms from these contaminants.

Join the discussion on April 18 from noon to 1:30 PM by registering at bit.ly/yourhealthandenvironment.
