Backyard Stream Repair – BCNP
Is your stream getting deeper or wider? Are you losing some of your land every time it rains? Have you wondered why your streambanks are changing so rapidly? Join Audubon and Penn State Extension to learn more about backyard stream repair solutions. The program includes a set of pre-recorded webinars that you can view at your own pace, followed by an in-person field day where you can put what you learned to practice—including stream evaluation, and different approaches to riparian buffer and streambank stabilization. Participants in this workshop will receive a copy of the Penn State Extension publication, Simple Solutions for Your Eroding Backyard Stream. This program ($30 value) is offered at a discounted rate, with funding from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, Environmental Stewardship Fund. Space is limited – registration is required. $6 per member, $10 per nonmember
