Buffalo Creek Coalition Meeting

The Buffalo Creek Coalition will be holding their last meeting of the year on Thursday, November 14th from 3:30-5pm. We typically chat about the work our partners are doing throughout the Buffalo Creek Watershed. This time we are joined by The Lingering Hemlock Project, a subset of the broad coalition making up The Nature Conservancy’s “Tree Species in Peril,” focused on locating and selectively breeding eastern and Carolina hemlock trees demonstrating evidence of resistance to hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA). They will present for about 45 min on ongoing strategies for furthering HWA-resistant hemlock breeding that are relevant to the state of hemlock decline in Pennsylvania.
