The Chesapeake Stormwater Network is offering online training for professionals that introduces the impacts of urban stormwater and how to mitigate those impacts through watershed restoration practices and municipal stormwater programs.
The Chesapeake Urban Stormwater Professionals training program is a 14-webinar curriculum that is taught in two parts. Part 1 introduces the basic impacts of stormwater runoff and how they can be reduced or mitigated by stormwater and urban watershed restoration practices. Part 2 focuses on the essential functions of municipal (or MS4) stormwater programs, and how to improve local watershed management.
While anyone can register for the CUSP training, it is designed for professional staff that administer a municipal MS4 program, undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in green infrastructure and watershed restoration, and program staff from local watershed groups, master watershed stewards, and environmental advocacy groups.
The online training runs from mid-August through mid-October, 2024. Attendees will receive access to Chesapeake Stormwater Network’s extensive library of training content and stormwater resources and a signed certificate of completion.
