It is still not too late to pursue funding from EPA’s Community Change Program. The Inflation Reduction Act made $2 billion available to support community-driven projects that build capacity for communities to tackle environmental and climate justice challenges, strengthen their climate resilience, and advance clean energy. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis.
Locally LandForce Pittsburgh received funds from the first round of announced awardees to expand and create critical infrastructure for upcycling and commercializing materials from urban tree waste.
It is a competitive program and the opportunity to apply for technical assistance from EPA’s Community Change Grant Program has passed. But, for the confident and optimistic, you can still apply for technical assistance from the Environmental Protection Network with this intake form.
Deadline to apply for funding from the Community Change program is November 21, 2024. Visit the EPA website for the Notice of Funding Opportunity.
