Hi all, If you live, work or are interested in the Monongahela River we request your assistance. Through grants from Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and Martin’s, and the Izaak Walton league Endowment we are working to create a story map of the Monongahela River watershed. WE need your help. The map will include layers describing, Recreation and Point of interest, Clean Water and A Healthy Ecosystem.
Do you know where the public can launch a kayak? Are you aware of pollution sources that flow into the Mon or one of its tributaries? Is there a good place on the river to go birding? Or a place where invasive species have taken over? We would appreciate any pictures with GPS coordinates that describe the good, the bad and the ugly of the river.
